Steve's eye

Love the bubble.

He had a vitrectomy done to repair a tear in his retina and after they drain the vitreous, his eye was filled with octafluropropane. It's back to half full of vitreous and he said that it's like being half under water, upside down.

Something like this I'm guessing, only without the palm trees and the golden sand ...

With thanks to mathetdjam for the photo.

Isn't that what they did to Dad's eye when his retina detached?

I didn't think that he had surgery. I thought he just lay there and let it heal by itself.

No he had surgery and then I think he had a bubble in his eye too. I just remember he had to keep his head at a certain angle to keep the bubble in the right position.
