A big fire truck and a couple of police cars.
Another fire truck turned up as well.
I could see a crowd forming and so I wandered down to have a closer look. I walked around the corner and this is what I saw.
Ouch !!
There was no one in the car and no one was hurt.

From the marks on the ground and from what I overheard the police saying the car had lost control and went between the fire hydrant and the building and then ran into the red ute which had been parked just down from the fire hydrant.
I'm not sure why they lost control and I think there was another car involved, as there was a car with it's bumper torn off a little further up the street.
The police just didn't believe that the car had missed the hydrant and the building.
