Willits

I was lucky enough to be driven to Willits this afternoon. It is a company excusion to view a steam engine of the same type that we are designing.
The group that we are meeting are steam enthusiasts that go by the name of Roots of Motive Power and you can while away many an enjoyable Sunday afternoon browsing the locomotives on their website.

But I digress.

On the drive through San Francisco it was unusally clear.

We also saw some mountains.

And some trees and vines and things.

We are staying at Baechtel Creek Inn and we had dinner at the Purple Thistle. We did enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the relaxing outside terrace.

I started with the Caprese salad with Heirloom tomatoes.

And main was the blackened Ahi tuna, with wilted spinach, Jasmine rice and a soy glaze.

For dessert I had the Berry cobbler.

It was all very delicious and we then adjorned to Roberts room for a Laphroaig nightcap.
