Avignon TGV station
After sadly leaving Clos de Lethe, we drove to Avignon and found that there was a one day train strike on. The station itself was very cool and full of people waiting for a train. There were 3 full size trains crammed onto one half size train. It still went at the same speed (300 km/h) so we only had to stand for 3 hours.

Domain de Saint Siffrien
We visited another winery in the Chateauneuf du Pape region called Saint Siffrien.
We couldn't believe how rocky the soil was that they were ploughing.

Lunch
We stopped for lunch after visiting Domaine la Péquélette at a place called Du verre a l'assiette, which specialised in wine and simple plates of salami.
This was a melted wheel of brie and it was delicious.

Domaine la Péquélette
We went on a wine tour around the Chateauneuf du Pape region. This is the first winery with an amazing view towards Mt. Ventoux. He uses a biodynamic way of farming, part of which involved burying cow's horns full of manure.

Clos de Lethe
Morning view from our upstairs balcony.
Delicious fresh breakfast.
Outside wall of our room, the little top right window was in the main room and the larger top right window was in the bathroom.

Rest of the meal at L'Artemise
The rest of the meal and our laughing waiter. We asked him (in French) to only speak French to us so we could practice and he kept forgetting and would start off in English then remember and switch to French. Lots of fun !

Back at L'Artemise
We enjoyed it so much the first time that we came back for more. We had a completely different menu which was amazing, apart from the red tuna sushi, which we sort of requested. ;)
